I'm sure I'm not the only one caught in the path of this blizzard. I started documenting last night. Please share you photos of the storm and aftermath.

    Starting to lay. Friday night.

Saturday morning! Well over a foot and a full day of more snow to come.

The storm's name is actually "Jonas" but that's a triviality.

Thanks - ISO 100, f/5.6 and a 13 second exposure with the front door wide open. It goes without saying that my wife thinks I've lost it.

Thanks Will. I cheated though. This shot is taken with my Nikon D750 and the Nikkor 14-24 - it was more immediately more available. I like Chris' too and I can imagine that this could be a major thread (albeit of short life since it is all supposed to end in a day or so).

While I am glad I am here enjoying 70°F, these snow images are great.

I suppose such a snow storm isn't fun but I envy you for these photo opportunities. Keep 'em coming, really like what you guys come up with.

FULL DISCLOSURE - I marked all of the images above "like." But I do not really like blizzards. I am glad I live where blizzards do not really happen. I hope all of you in the snow stay warm and safe.

About to venture out and tackle the snow. If anyone wants to join me, bring a shovel or snowblower - I have plenty of beer!

The problem with infrequent blizzards is that it is not economically feasible to equip yourself with major snow equipment and only use it once every 5 - 10 years. My neighbors (on each side) have snow blowers so I get some help periodically.

OK, now you guys are starting to make me feel cold.
Why go out in it if you don't have to?
