Couple of views from hwy 8 also called Denali highway. It is about 200 kms of gravel road. It runs thru the centre of Alaska. It was the first road going to Denali National Park. We only did 50 kms of it. I wish I had done the whole thing. The first is with 50mm 1.4 and the next two with sigma 30mm.

Nice shots, but it looks a little different than it does on "Ice Road Truckers" for some reason. Give me time, I'll figure it out. ;)

I've never watched ice truckers but aren't they further north towards the arctic.

claude- Ice Road Truckers chronicles 18 wheeler drivers and their travails as they move freight from southern Alaska to the Arctic Circle and points north (Canada as well) during the winter. That was the poorly executed joke- all you ever see on the show is snow & ice. ;)

For those who don't know there are parts of Alaska that get quite pleasant in the summer.
