I just bought Sony A7 with 28-70mm and am new to E-mount. I am looking for a fullframe telephoto but FE are costly for me.
Any one please suggest a cheap full frame third party telephoto lens, say around 70-300mm with best clarity? I am considering Canon EF 75-300mm F/4.0-5.6 USM III with Fotodiox adapter..

I'm impressed with the Maxxum 135/2.8, and fortunate
enuf to have these left over from my old Maxxum outfits.
But you can readily find one for far less than any current
Sony telephoto. Very nice lens with internal focus, built-in
sliding lens shade, and 55mm filter threads.

Acoarst you hafta add the price of an A-mount converter
for your FE mount camera, but at least you'll get Sony's
own converter [E4 for AF, or E3 for MF] rather than the
unpredictable headaches of a 3rd party converter.

You may consider the Canon 70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM. It is much better optically than the 75-300. Plus it has image stabilization.

I have a Canon EF with Metabones adapter and a Rokinon 85mm 1.5 Cinema lens. I hope to post some results here soon

I'm enjoying my Rokinon 85mm as well as my Zeiss 135 c/y mount. I like using my adapted EF mount Sigma 70-200 also

I have the Sony a mount 70 300 g ssm 4.5 5.6 that I use with my nex-6 and a7s, I used the la ea4 adapter. Its a pretty nice lens good build quality decent handling (although a little big on an e mount camera) and very nice image quality although it perfoms its weakest at the very long end. All in all a good quality tele zoom although not cheap.

Both of these shots are wide open at 300mm the weakest setting for this lens
