A summer Saturday on our "Pretty good but not quite officially a 'Great'" Lake.....

....in which I learn that taking telephoto landscape shots with a 400mm manual lens, handheld (IBIS notwithstanding), in a bobbing boat, in the wind, underway, is somewhat tricky. Also, zebra mussels are the Devil's own.

Indeed, yes - Lake Champlain. Cruised from Mallets Bay over to Valcour Island on the New York side, and back during sunset.

The shots without lens EXIF data are all with the Tokina 400mm, either at f11 or f8.

Depends on where you are. It’s 11 miles across at its widest point (between Burlington and Willsboro), but less between Mallets Bay and Valcour. Took us about 15 minutes for that crossing.
