Not bad for my 70-150mm Vivitar.

It is one of those lenses marked "Macro," but would be more accurately called close focus.

I have two of these lenses. Had to hunt one in M42 for a year ... . Makes nice addition to Sigma 19mm, 30mm and 60mm for a travel lens set.

Some day I am going to test this lens with extension tubes.

I do have a 2X multiplier, but I rarely use it.

I have Nikon 1.4 multiplier and it is pretty useable. Unfortunately it (and many other things like Nikon ED IF 300mm/4.5) are in pile 'test when you have time'. Extension tubes work very well with Sigma 60 mm so I think that they may be useful with Vivitar (Kiron) 70-150mm/3.8 too.
