I have been almost exclusively using prime lenses on my Nex-5N for the last 6 months. Mainly the Sony 35mm, Sigma 30mm, and Sony 50mm.

But on a recent trip to Boracay, I took just 2 lenses - the Sigma 19 and the Sony 35. The Sony 35 did not disappoint, but I got some great shots with my Sigma 19. I think this Sigma is sort of the forgotten lens in the Nex lineup, and it is surprisingly good.

So here's my tribute to the Sigma 19.

Sigma 19 is a great lens, especially since there's not much of worthy competition for good price.

    Amazing photos!!!
I think I'd give credit more to the photographer than the lens ;)

When I got my Sigma twins, I kept thinking "I could've gone without the 19mm"

But recently, I started using it to take more landscapes, and MAN, what a nice lens!

Both of my most well liked photos among my friends were taken with the Sigma 19

Rogatsby, amazing photos. Because of your post I think I ought to get the lens. Just curious did you photoshop the photos? If not, what settings did you use to take these great land scape photos? I would really like to know. I hope I can take great pics like these.

    Thanks a lot!

Check out the thread devoted to the 19mm.

The Sigma's are a great everday lens.
