    Yes, particularly when the Cardinals are such strikingly beautiful birds, they sure look like small vultures during this phase

    Which one? There are seven states that declare the cardinal as the state bird.

    For some reason, this is making me think of a Wile E. Coyote sketch... like he blew his head up lighting dynamite with a cigarette or something?
