Hey guys, hope you had a good weekend, I take this week by the good weather here in New York and decided to walk the streets of 34th Street, and take these photos, nex5n gives high performance in terms of very low light and also use the HTT, and HDR level 5 and clarity and noise was very low.

Wonderful as always, Freddy!! :) :)

I'm amazed how the purply-grey sky in the second photo has practically no grain at ISO 1000. From my experience, this particular shade of grey is the most susceptible for grain to begin at ISO 3200. The 16.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor is just amazing, aye!

Nice set buddy.

I really enjoy your NY shots and it seems you got your shooting style down pat mate, I usually prefer B/W (just personal choice) but I really quite like the way you shot the 1st image.

Might I suggest looking at the works of Vivian Maier for some inspiration regarding B/W and street photography, I recently discovered her works through Armanius (as well as the rest of the world I'm assuming) and her photos are amazing and imho is on par with HCB.

The reason I brought it up was I see your style in her images and I also see her style in your images.

Definitely NY. Liked the second photo with the coy billboard partially visible and the great scooter shot. Agree with Phoenix re: Vivian Maier.

Those are fantastic. A nice series from the Apple. I think anyone would be proud to "book" these.

Great set. For the B&W are you shooting color and converting in post or using the NEX's B&W setting?

yes, Usually shot in raw and color, Well if you want best results do not shoot black and white. If we open any of our images and visualize the channels will see that we have three: Red, Green and Blue which together result in our color image in RGB mode. If you shoot in black and white are losing valuable information.

This tip, I've read in several blogs, some times l use the nex' B & W .

I use LR to convert to B & W is as simple as lowering the saturation to -100 before making any other adjustments, once solved this you can adjust shadows, contrast, brightness ... are some of the most common ways to switch from color to black and black. Undoubtedly there are many other ways because the greatness of the programs we have today to edit our photographs is that they offer many ways to reach the same result.

Thanks. Yes, I usually shoot RAW in color too and convert with Lightroom or NIK Silver Efex Pro. However, the other day I was chasing the grand-kids with my C3 and tried out the in camera B&W. I kind of liked the results. I guess I'll now work on converting for the "NEX B&W Effect". :D
