Love the camera but I hate the orange ring. Has anyone found a way to nicely cover it? I saw pictures of rubber ring covers they slipped on A7Rs that were returned for light leak issues. Does anyone know where I can get one of these?
Just curious...the photo in the first post shows a hairline of orange around only a small part of the circumference...was wondering about a couple things: 1) Is there some other view that shows a large amount of orange? 2) And do I assume correctly that even when a lens is mounted it still shows?
Thanks...I have to say it does seem odd ( to me ) that sony would color it orange knowing it would be an integral part of a black camera though...guess I could live with it
Oh, this is great news! The orange is simply hideous. I'm posting here simply so I can find the thread to buy this ring in the future. It fits the A7s but will it fit the A7mkII as well? I see it's a rubber cap that covers up the lens-release button as well.
I don't know... A black rubber band looks better to you guys than an orange, metal ring? Really? Oooookaaaay...
.....and white lens on black cameras??????? Whoever thunk that one up? {} This says, "My system is HOT, and your camera sucks!" I don't think so.
No, it means, My CAMERA is hot, my LENS not so much so." Hasselblad probably started that trend with their gray 500c bodies meant for spacewalks.
I don't mind the color.* What I'd really like is if they were able to reduce the size of the electronics inside so that they could move the sensor 5mm further inside the camera and simply have the lens mount completely flush with the body. What's the point of making already large lenses look longer than they actually are? *I suppose if I had a Zeiss Loxia lens, the orange might annoy me a little more.
