A6400 + Sigma MC11 + Canon Lens

Hi. I am new to Sony Camera world. Thought I would share my findings with experience on A6400 with MC11 and adapted lens.
I used Canon EF 28 1.8, Canon EF 100 2.8 IS L and Canon EF 50mm 2.5 Macro.

Adapted Canon 28mm is the fastest focusing lens from this bunch. Canon 100mm and 50mm are slowest but still usable, 100mm sometimes looses focus in true macro region but from my memory it happened the same while I was using it on Canon bodies. IS of 100mm is working ok. Animal EyeAF worked excellent on all lenses, though I think it is a bit hesitant on both macro lens. Human EyeAF worked perfectly on 28mm didn't test macros for Human. Real time tracking worked ok on 28mm.

Today I went to the park with adapted Canon 100mm 2.8 IS L. As I have already figured out there is some hunting in 1:1 focus region. Which can be overrided with manual focusing and then fine focus on AF.

I guess 100mm 2.8 IS L is my favorite adapted lens.

Beautiful shots!! Love that red squirrel shot!
I think the AF hunting may be due to using an f/ stop beyond f/8. Since macro work usually ventures down to f/16-32.

My 100mm f/2.8 Non-L macro lens was virtually useless in auto focus with either the Sigma MC-11 or the Metabones IV adapters... I actually got my best adapted results on my APSC cameras from a Kipon focal reducer EF-E mount...

Maybe it is AF dependant, since A6400 has somehow A9 AF. I had high hopes for this combination and it has delivered.

I am a candidate for this adaptor instead of the Metabones V5
Can you please tell me if we are supposed to buy also the dock ?

When I upgraded the firmware for the MC-11 (which did help) I did not need a dock for the upgrade.
