I like the look of the 18105G. I need a telephoto zoom. Wish Sony would come out with an 85-210mm OSS.

What's wrong with the 55-210 OSS?

I too like the results from the SELP18105G.
Only 2 things need improving is the distortion without lens correction & the size...other than those 2, it is an excellent all purpose lens!

As José mentioned, have you considered the SEL55210 OSS?
I have this lens and it is a very good lens and is very well priced. :)

I will probably buy the 55-210 down the road. I have seen many great 55-210 images. I want the option of a zoom and a potentially shorter lens

I really would like a 85mm oss prime...

I REALLY want an 85mm OSS prime as well! It's the biggest gap in the E-Mount line up IMO.
If a native one doesn't turn up soon I might be tempted by the http://www.kenrockwell.com/minolta/maxxum/85mm-f14.htm as it is fast but has no OSS.

I have a Konica 85mm AR 1.8 that I love but I would like the option of oss for reliable low light use (hand held).
    I hope Sony makes an 135mm 1.8 or 2.8 prime w/oss also!

    I would like a 90mm f/1.8 or f/2.8 OSS macro/portrait.

Don't forget that this lens should have been f/2.8, then it'd be the perfect lens :D

Actually f/1.8 with the full frame conversion...would be f/2.8 :p
