    Guys,
    Recently purchased a6000 with ziess 55 1.8.

I was in the living room taking my wife and daughter picture.

From same distance , I took multiple pictures. Some came vertical, horizontal , some half close up and some as desired perfect full picturs.

What am I diong wrong ?
I have a camera on AF and Potrait. Why pictures are coming up differently? If I am taking picture from same distance all picturs should come horizontal and as seen on view finder . Why some too close and some just perfect from same agle and distance ?

    Please advise

    Thanks

Isn't there some "crop" feature on the A7 that automatically crops an image depending on the subject that the camera "thinks" it detects? I'm afraid that I don't shoot jpegs, so I've never explored those features. But I seem to remember coming across something like that while I was reading the manual. If I can find the time tomorrow, I'll try to find it.

I found it! It's on page 37 of the English A7 manual. It's called "Auto Obj. Framing," and the manual says that it "Analyzes the scene when capturing faces, close-ups, or subjects tracked by Lock-on AF function, and automatically trims and saves another copy of the image with a more impressive composition."

I've never used that feature, but my guess is that if you turn it off, your problems will disappear.

    Agreed, turn it off.

I messed with it briefly to see what it would do. I found it very useless.
