I bought an A3000 as a backup body and ended up using it quite a bit while on vacation in Stockholm recently. I was impressed with the quality it produced. The lousy EVF and LCD screen made it tricky to focus precisely or confirm that the capture was good, but when I was finally able to review on the big screen I found most shots were keepers, even in difficult lighting situations. It's larger than the NEX-6 I usually use, but the grip makes it more comfortable to shoot with. I'm glad I grabbed one when it was on sale. Following is an example using a 16-50 kit lens (not the 18-55 that is typically kitted with this body).
