I've been to Kuwait last week for a very short business trip and, as always, I took my camera.
I've been enjoying some nice shooting moments, especially at sunrise, even if I had to wake up very very early (the sun rises at 4:40 AM) despite the weariness or even walk under 48 Celsius (118 Farenheit)
Hereafter some of my photos, all shoot with the 16-35 FE. Hope you'll like them.

All are beauties, but 2, 3 & 5 are stunners. I'd say that lens is working for you, Yannis.

Love em all. I like the mood of the B&W tower with the lights and shadows and the colours in that roof structure in the last are amazing. Looks like a very interesting city.

PS, dam you people posting amazing images with the 16-35. I'm doing my best to avoid dropping the $1600 its going to cost me for this lens and this is not making it easy. Oh well, tax time is coming and the Tax Man owes me a lot of coin this year ;)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
Actually it was a 3 days return trip for 1.5 hours meeting ! Spent the whole Monday working in the planes, had my meeting on Tuesday morning and my return flights on Wednesday noon. That way I had some free time to chase some images although I've waited for 5 PM before going out on Tuesday and had to wake up at 3:30 on Wednesday to reach the Kuwait Towers for sunrise...surprisingly there were people taking some bath in the sea already. The temperature does not go under 33 at this period.

And yeah I am loving each day a bit more the 16-35. Managed to take this quite sharp LE image after a few experiments. By The way Nick, I used a Hoya ND 400 HMC. Plan to add a 3x and 6x to cover all possible ranges. Not a fan of variable NDs. This one has no color cast. Cost me 89 Euros.

Very interesting images. Good stuff, and yes, it can be challenging to photograph in the ME in the summer...
