Thanks, I suspected that one might be popular. It does have a certain simplicity to it that appeals.

These are really beautiful. In particular I like the 3rd and 4th - just sooo pretty. Thank you for sharing these!

Ooh, yes, that little lone leaf is beautiful.
Thank you both. :)

I almost mounted the 70-200/2.8 for a comparison shot of that last one, but alas, I was distracted by something before I could complete the thought. Breathing or something most likely. ;)

Very nice work. We don't get these kind of autumn foliage colours where I live.
Thanks, but then again you get your "fall foliage" in the spring, right? Or are there just no trees that change colors at all? I spent 4 or 5 days in Brisbane once about 100 years ago and my memory is a tad fuzzy on the subject.

Ha ha, I'm sure that Brisbane was a little different 100 years ago :) We just don't have all that many trees that change colour in autumn and then drop their leaves prior to winter.

Hehe, ok, it was 1976 not 100 years ago. Sometimes it just seems like it was 100 years ago. I'll admit to being more interested in testing the local beer than viewing the local flora at the time. ;)

Jim, inspired by you, I also did a walk around my neighborhood this morning. I used a Vivitar Close Focusing 135mm f/2.8. Hope you don't mind I post them here.

Ok, I cropped a couple of previous CV35 shots to clean them up a bit.

NEX-5N    CV35    35mm    f/8.0    1/60s    ISO 100

NEX-5N    CV35    35mm    f/8.0    1/160s    ISO 100

And here's a new shot with the short mortar tube wide open (aka Pentacon 6 300/4), also cropped.

NEX-5N    Pentacon 6    300mm    f/4.0    1/50s    ISO 100
