Hello all. Just a few quick edits of some of my favorites from Last nights wedding. First wedding with the A7RII. Pictures in this thread were with 85mm G Master and the FE Zeiss 34mm 1.4. I also used the Godox tt685s with the XT1. On top of the XT1 I used a Nissin di700 for on camera fill. I found the camera wonderful when it came to editing. 42mega pix is wonderful to crop with and the dynamic range was amazing. The dip shot was basically all blacked out and I never thought it would recover the way it did. I will say I had time focusing at times. At times I think the camera is too smart. Any way enjoy.

They are all very nice. I love seeing candid moments.

My only comment is the very first one looks a bit odd.

Nice pics bro. My only question is did you purposely shoot a lot of these at angles or did you crop that way? I like the colors a lot that are produced from the 85.

Ones that are tilted were shot that way. I cropped some shots as well just to frame up the shot or remove unsightly items such has fire hydrants, etc. I cannot stand hidden things in the back ground such as a nice picture of the couple with a bathroom sign in the back ground. I try not to PS wedding pics because there are way too many of them.

Not exactly sure. The backlighting just seems to harsh. When I first saw it I almost thought they were cut and pasted into the scene.

Overall I do like them. That one just seemed odd is all.

I get the whole tilted picture trend, but I personally find it a bit annoying.

Oh so it's your opinion more then a technical issue. I hear ya. It's not for everyone.

Yeah my opinion too. I like the shots just not the tilt. [emoji1]

Thanks. I don't like to shoot straight on all the time. I guess everyone has their look.

The room was a very strong purple and blue. So I placed a flash in the back of the room up on an 8ft stand. Then I had a flash on camera.
That created that halo 3D look to separated them from the background. All flashes powers to 1/16. Camera was at 1/250 85mm f2 ISO 1600

Yeah, I was at my cousins wedding last year, as a guest not the photographer... Still brought my camera. Took a lot of pics. My wife doesn't like the way I edited them. ImageUploadedByTalkEmount1463929788.984506.
She doesn't like the glowing effect, she digs more contrast. To each their own right. As long as the customer is happy.

Ha! I don't even know how to use a flash. That's why I went with Sony in the first place. So I can shoot my fast manual glass at mid to high ISO. Lol.

It think the tilt works great on that shot. Weddings are whirlwinds like that.
