We paid a visit to the WB Studios attraction just outside of Watford last weekend.

I'm not a great HP fan but I do like my movies and the experience was fantastic. Some of the sets still intact, thousands of props, conceptual art, previs, animatronics etc, etc. We spent nearly 4 hours there in all.

I went armed with my Nex-3 and Sigma 19mm and 30mm lenses. The place was lit amazingly and it was hard to take a bad shot, although it was very dim. Anyway here's some shots which are pretty much shot out of camera with the exception of Hogwarts as I couldn't resist photoshopping a night sky in!

Definitely well worth a visit I'd say.

Wait, how big were the Ollivander's shop and the hogwarts castle in reality?

    Thanks guys.

Ollivander's and the whole of Diagon Alley was the full life size set. The "miniature" of Hogwarts must have been something like 8 meters in diameter I guess and around 4 meters high!

This is right up my Alley, too (groan!). I've read all the books and watched all the movies multiple times. Great stuff, and great pics.

You're a wizard Harry ! I'm a what ?? etc etc lol. Cool shots, especially in what must have been tricky indoor lighting.
