You gotta love days like these, super bluey blue skies, cool breeze and a gentle 3 o clock sun.
Shot with the amazing (AMAAAAZING) zeiss 135mm f1.8, with a 4 stop bw nd filter. ISO 100, f2.5, 1/160 of a sec with a mettle 600 watt monolight camera left at 1/2 power.

PS nd filters makes anything on my LAEA4 front focus:(

Would be too much light to allow the lens to be opened up and get the shallow DOF otherwise.

The A7 flash sync speed is 1/250 of a sec. So to use non HSS flashes and monolights (I cant think of an hss sony monolight) you have to be at 1/250 or lower. Out in the full blast of the caribbean sun at 2pm that means using a 4 stop nd to land you square in 1/250 at f1.8, but since I used f2.5 shutter had to be dialed down to 1/160. The fact that I had to use 1/2 power on a 600 watt monolight should give you a hint on how absurdly bright the sun is here...

Very nice shot. In addition to it being so good technically, it conveys the love and bond between them.
