    Canon FDn 400/4.5 on NEX-7

    NOTE:
The last 10-15 seconds shows one flying in from the right and it seems a little timid like its going to get its butt kicked...look at the angle of its legs & feet as it tries to lean away from the other birds...see how far off the tree trunk its able to support itself.

I used the tip of a chainsaw to make a cavity about the size of a pack of cigarettes in one end of a little 6' tree trunk and stood it up...pack that cavity on top with inexpensive off-brand peanut butter every morning.

So this is the original field of view of your 400mm on the Nex7 in the pics you post? thats a lot of cropping I'm impressed by the quality still present in them.
    Best regards

NEX-7's are not the end all to camera bodies of course but they do serve my needs very well.
First biggest benefit was getting all my Canon legacy lenses from the 80's back into operation.
Then the big sensor / detail capture / cropping capability have turned out to be huge pluses.
