It's hard to grasp for me, but 2014 has already been my fifth year with what has become my passion. Oh, and it's my fourth year on this forum.
I'm still basically the same person I was five years ago. Lazy. Maybe a little crazy. And I'm still only able to photograph anything when I feel inspired to do just that. Which means there might be weeks, even months without touching my camera.
Still, despite all this, I think I've improved my art. At least I like a few photographs I created during this year. So here's a quick tour through my 2014. For me. But also for you, if you've got some time to kill.
My landscape activities were focused on expanding my 'alone in the dark' series. I still plan on finishing the series within a decade, so I'll need to do more in the coming years. But for now, I'm okay with what I captured this year.

Apart from that, I experimented a little with product photography. I came to the conclusion that it's not what I want to do. Not now, anyway.

Also, I shot two concerts. Just because I know all of the band members, and I owed them a favor. Obviously, I'm not very good at it. And that's because it's not what I want to do. Too many people. Too many distractions.

Other than that, I just made a few experiments. I definitely need to improve on my fine art photography, and that's one area I want to do more next year.

By the way, I really like that shot above. But most people ignore it. Because they don't realize what they are actually seeing. It's one of those shots were you have an epiphany once you think about it and realize what it is. Definitely want to shoot more of these photographs. But it's pretty hard to come up with such concepts, unfortunately.
