Nothing really scientific, just decided to clean up a high ISO test image at a truck event a few days ago. I picked the worst truck for the test being black but of well Just wanted to see what would be possible with a high ISO image like that @1440P
Pretty obvious that the second image is the RAW. The noise reduction on the jeep might be overdone, but there are clearly lots more details in the background. Shows once more why it's a great idea to shoot RAW. Thanks for sharing!
I used DXO Prime as a quick test. I would probably do a lower setting of Prime if I wanted to get it better then use layers in Photoshop to fine tune it. Still blacks are a pain at that ISO so next time I will use a different colored car
I was really lazy on that test, just used DXO Prime noise removal option. It is the best I have seen but the darker the areas the more chances of artifacts. But with more careful treatment it can be improved
