...opened the inside door, then pushed open the storm door, and walked out onto the front porch at a normal pace, eyes looking left and up to check on the rain clouds to see if I could try a moon shot…down the porch steps and on over left to the driveway still looking up….full overcast, no moon shot possible.

Turned around and started walking back to the front porch and for the first time saw ‘Big Mama’ (the twin fawns mama I feed every day) bedded down not 15 feet from the porch steps. (see white railing lower right corner).

I got back over to the porch, went back up the steps, opened both doors again and went inside, she never moved. Went and got my wife to come look.
Then decided to try a shot…got a camera, went back out through both doors again onto the porch, sat down in the rocking chair and proceeded to take a couple shots…got up, went back inside, closed & locked the doors, and through all that commotion she just laid right there.

How wonderful! Perhaps one day you can hand-feed her fawns.

(fyi, I also checked the skies at around 10:30pm. no joy here either.)
