Not as powerful as some other sunsets, but managed to get one that's halfway decent.
Actually, "being there" watching the light show emerge / evolve is the real treat.
Getting a few photos along the way is almost secondary.

I had an interesting experience at the lake yesterday...when I got set up for the pending sunset I noticed a speck in the sky that had to be on the PL filter, lens, or sensor.

Removed the filter, still had the speck.
Removed the lens, blew off both ends + the sensor with a large rocket blower I carry in a Ziploc bag.
    Still had the spec.
Repeated the above 2 more times.
    Still had the spec.

Well, I had a brand new small micro cloth in a Ziploc bag...took it out holding one end, rolled it up the size of a cigarette, and ever so gently / lightly eased one end of it across the face of the sensor, then blew it off again.
The spec was gone and the shoot was salvaged.

They say you shouldn't touch the sensor even with microfiber. My understanding is because the cloth can carry a static charge and end up making things worse. That said, when your in the field, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. :2thumbs:

I sometimes wonder just how many things we hear on forums are really based in fact, and like you said, I had to do what I had to do, LOL
