I photographed this location before (http://www.jeffmurrayimaging.com/Public/Places/Tasmania/i-KrhqxDg/A) and called the image Shot Tower. I was really shooting the pretty valley in which the Tower is located.

However my sister said 'Where's the Shot Tower?'

Armed with a long lens my 70 - 400mm I have returned and now she will know.

Long Lens Landscaping is not my thing - although I have enjoyed these photos.

Sony ILCE7R, Cokin CPL, HiTech 0.6 Soft ND, Sony 70-400mm F4-5.6 G SSM II, Sony LAEA4,

Shot Tower Shower: 1/4 at F5.6 (should be at F8-11!), 140mm, ISO 50

Long Lens Landscape: 70mm, F5.6, 1/13th

I was shooting this shot (http://www.jeffmurrayimaging.com/Public/Places/Tasmania/i-6gpSzHf/A) at Sandy Bay one day and a guy (a Melbourne artist) said 'I don't like the bald hills.' I like them.

They remind me of parts of Scotland in winter where the grass browns because of the cold. Funny thing that - the grass greens in summer in the Northern Hemisphere and in Australia it greens in winter.

This is a crop (2395 x 1347) from a panorama of the Shot Tower Valley. To follow.
