    NEX-5R and 2 E-Mount lenses got iF-Design-Award!

The iF design awards are just announced - and Sony got one! Well, actually they got a few, but one for the E-Mount: The NEX-5R! Additionally, the Zeiss 12mm f/2.8 and the Zeiss 32mm f/1.8 got one - the latter got even a gold award! This is especially noticeable as not even the mighty Zeiss 55mm 1.4 or their two nominated Master Primes got a gold award.

Edit: Linking directly doesn't work, so if you want to see them just disable all categories except Audio/Video after the following link.

The links don't work - again ... There seems to be some sort of session time out. Whatever, they're easy to find on the iF website under online gallery.

Zeiss 32? No one seems to have seen one in the wild yet; but it's winning awards? A little early I think -- even for exterior design.

The award not only covers exterial design, so I think they got a copy early.

Here is the same news from Zeiss site with full page lens photos of 12/1.8 & 32/1.8:

Winners: Five prizes for ZEISS lenses at iF awards 2013 | Camera Lens Blog

    12/1.8:

    32/1.8:

They look bigger then the other mirrorless lenses. I have not seen any sample photos yet...

They may be big relatively spoken, but they're still far smaller and lighter than comparable high-end SLR lenses.
